For future problem solvers ready to tackle society’s biggest challenges. The Social Innovation track is designed to support innovators as they craft solutions to problems in the world and turn them into successful ventures. Compete for funding, mentorship, and the chance to amplify your social impact. 

eligibility & requirements

Open to U.S. residents aged 19 and under. High school students are the primary focus; younger applicants may also apply.

  • Teams of 1-5 members, with each participant eligible for only one team per year.

  • Submissions must be original, non-commercialized concepts. Plagiarism or prior commercialization will result in disqualification.

  • All participants must be students at the time of registration.

  • Participants must follow all competition rules and local laws.

rules & criteria

No plagiarism is allowed. AI can be used for idea creation.

  • Ideas must address an unmet need in any industry and demonstrate market potential.

  • Submission phases include initial pitch, prototype development, and final presentation.

  • Teams can use slideshows, videos, or any media to convey their ideas, but final submissions must include a recorded video pitch (5-15 min) and a maximum 20-slide presentation.

  • All submissions must be finalized by the deadline.

Impact: What impact will your idea have on a specific issue in society?

  • Market Viability: Does the idea address a growing market with clear demand?

  • Financial Planning: Has the team outlined detailed production costs, marketing, and financial projections?

  • Logistical Feasibility: Does the team have a realistic plan for scaling the business?

  • Presentation Quality: Was the pitch clear, engaging, and well-organized?

Join our workshops on startup funding, pitch practice, and market analysis. Webinars will be available throughout November and December to help you refine your submission. Attend a mentoring session for feedback on your idea and get advice on developing a solid business model.

Grand Prize: $12,000 for the best overall idea across all paths. 

Track-Specific Prize: $10,000 business grant.

Additional Awards: Special recognition for the best pitch, including mentorship opportunities with top entrepreneurs.
